Japan: MSC Crociere opens new routes from Okinawa
MSC Crociere announced its plans to expand cruise routes to and from Japan. During a promotional event held at the residence of the Italian Ambassador in Tokyo, the company explained that new routes will be launched in 2018, starting in Okinawa and stopping over in the harbours of several southern Japanese prefectures. The new ship, Splendida, can accommodate over 3500 passengers, who will receive utmost attention and be offered top-quality food and services. The company, which currently accounts for 60% of the tourist traffic in the Mediterranean, ranks first in South America and South Africa. It has also been the first choice for Japanese passengers in recent years.
