On November 14, the Foreign Ministry will host the launch event for the CODEWAY EXPO 2024, a fair organized by Fiera di Roma in collaboration with The European House Ambrosetti and dedicated to the role played by the private sector in Development Cooperation. The Fair, scheduled for 15-17 May 2024, has the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The event will be opened by Hon. Deputy Minister Edmondo Cirielli and will be attended by Lazio Region President Francesco Rocca and Minister Antonio Tajani’s legal adviser for economic diplomacy and development, Lawyer Marco Rago. It will also be attended by key players from Italian Cooperation (MAECI, AICS, CDP), as well as European and international cooperation, civil society organizations, local government bodies, associations representing Italian SMEs, and companies themselves.
The event will also see the launch of the upcoming calls for proposals of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency (AICS), which are preferential tools for promoting the involvement of Italian development cooperation players. A strategic study by The European House Ambrosetti, commissioned by AICS, on the private sector’s involvement in development cooperation initiatives will also be illustrated.
The new CODEWAY EXPO platform, to be launched during the event, will also accompany interested companies in the various stages leading up to the May 2024 event, through the publication of preparatory material aimed at assisting the implementation of international cooperation projects.
