Italy-Japan – Collaboration on earthquake studies

The National Physics Institute (INFN) and National Geophysics and Volcanology Institute (INGV) signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Tokyo’s Institute for Earthquake Research (ERI) in the margins of the Muographer2014 workshop held at the Embassy of Italy in Tokyo. Participants in the signing included Italian ambassador to Tokyo Domenico Giorgi and Ambassador for Science and Technology Cooperation of the Japanese foreign ministry Makoto Katsura. The partnership’s aims to institutionalise collaboration in this important sector of research. Read more, in Italian.
