Italy’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, has just concluded his mission to Kyrgyzstan, carried out at the invitation of his Kyrgyz counterpart Aibek Moldogaziev. During the visit, Deputy Minister Cirielli met with Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Moldogaziev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev, First Deputy Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev and Parliament Deputy Speaker Nurlanbek Azygaliev.
The various meetings provided an opportunity to confirm the excellent state of bilateral relations between Italy and Kyrgyzstan, and to reaffirm the importance given to Italy’s relations with the Central Asian states. The importance of strengthening cooperation in the economic, cultural and consular spheres was also discussed, as well as the main geopolitical and international issues. As part of his visit, Deputy Minister Cirielli also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Italian community in Bishkek.
