Dei/Sole 24 Ore: USA: Zambon acquires Merk’s Pavia plant

Zambon is preparing to take over the MSD (also known as Merk) facility in Pavia. The two pharmaceutical companies made the announcement after signing a letter of intent. The groups have also signed letters concerning the production and supply of MSD products at global level and the European distribution, by Zambon, of another of the US company’s products. One year ago MSD had announced that the Pavia site would be leaving Merk’s network by 31 December 2014. Since then, MSD Italia has been looking for a buyer. Source: Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor.
