Dei/Sole 24 Ore – Romania: Structural funds amounting to 22 billion for 2014-2020

The Italian Embassy in Bucharest has organised a Forum on the European structural funds allocated for 2014-20 and business opportunities in the country. The event was organised in collaboration with Romania’s main employers’ association and the Ministry for European Funds.


The Forum was part of the economic-commercial initiatives planned to take place in Bucharest during the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The new funding framework, which allocates over 22 billion euros to Romania, envisages 6 programmes focusing on infrastructure, competitiveness, human capital, regions, administration and technical assistance. In the programming framework presented recently, 4 billion euros have been allocated to the private sector through 3 programmes: regions, competitiveness and agriculture. Source: infoMercatiEsteri.
