Premio Berlino promotes international mobility and recognises the talent of young Italian architects, offering them a unique opportunity for growth and intercultural exchange. The award is promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin.
This year, the fifth edition of the prize saw two winners: Maria Giada Di Baldassarre (Ascoli Piceno, 1993) and Beatrice Mazzucco (Conegliano, 1996).
The two architects will have the opportunity to spend six months in Berlin and gain educational and professional experience in an architectural firm specialising in urban renewal and regeneration. During their stay in Berlin, they will also participate in cultural activities organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin and ANCB – The Aedes Metropolitan Laboratory, the project’s scientific partner.
