Moscow – A stroll in “Russian Rome” between the centuries

How much Russia was there in 19 and 20th century Rome? We are told in “Passeggiata. La Roma russa. 1870-1920”, an exhibition curated by Bianca Sulpasso and Olga Strada and mounted at the Museum of Moscow by the Italian Cultural Institute with the support of the Italian embassy in Russia, University of Tor Vergata and the Centro Studi Ivanov in Rome. The exhibition runs through 8 June and includes 32 period photographs, documents, magazines, postcards and posters that illustrate how “Russian Rome” blossomed during that period. After its debut in Moscow, the exhibit will travel to other parts of the Russian Federation. Read more, in Italian.
