UPDATE – PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Preview exhibition of Italian automotive excellence at the Farnesina
(Piazzale della Farnesina, 6 June 2025)
On Friday, 6 June 2025 at 5:30 p.m., at the Piazzale della Farnesina, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will speak at the preview exhibition showcasing Italian automotive excellence. The event has been conceived in anticipation of the fourth edition of the Rome Historic Grand Prix and the second Italian Motorsport Excellence Day, scheduled to take place on 7 and 8 June in the splendid setting of the Stadio dei Marmi at the Foro Italico in Rome.
The initiative includes an exhibition on the Farnesina forecourt of sixteen historic and prestigious Italian cars, including iconic models from Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Lancia, Abarth, and Fiat – vehicles that have shaped the history of national and international motorsport.
The exhibition at Piazzale della Farnesina symbolises the importance and attention the Ministry of Foreign Affairs places on promoting Italian excellence around the world, supporting related industrial sectors, and endorsing initiatives such as the Grand Prix – which help to reaffirm how the deep bond between technical innovation, sporting culture, and national identity can serve as a strategic asset in enhancing Italy’s global positioning.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the vehicles will be transferred to the nearby Stadio dei Marmi, where they will join the rest of the lineup set to animate a weekend dedicated to Italian automotive excellence. The event will be held especially in the context of celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo’s victory in the first World Championship in 1925 and Ferrari’s first triumph in Rome on the Caracalla circuit.
