“Mail Bombing” attack on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs – in particular the Crisis Unit and the Minister’s Cabinet – has been the target of a “mail bombing” attack, following the incident involving the boats of the “Flotilla” to Gaza. The attack, which involved the mass sending of thousands of fake emails, has notably hindered the work of the Crisis Unit, currently in contact with Italian nationals on board the vessels of the Flotilla as they continue their course towards Gaza. The Flotilla has been subjected to hostile and intimidating actions. The judicial authorities have been notified of the mail bombing attack on the Ministry by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri.
