The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, announces that Italian national Luigi Gasperin has been definitively released in Venezuela. During the night, the release order—previously issued but not yet implemented by one of the Venezuelan authorities—was duly enforced. Mr Gasperin is fatigued but in a stable condition. He has indicated his wish to remain in Venezuela and to return to the city of Maturín (Monagas State), where his company is located.
