This morning, two further Oman Air flights departed from Muscat to Rome carrying a total of 249 Italian nationals, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
These add to the approximately 2,500 Italian nationals who have returned to Italy in recent hours from Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Muscat on commercial flights facilitated by the Ministry, as well as on privately booked flights.
In the coming days, additional flights facilitated by the Ministry, with the support of the diplomatic and consular missions in the region, will depart from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh, Malé and Colombo to Italy.
The Ministry renews its invitation to follow official communications and to register on the Viaggiare Sicuri App or on the website www.dovesiamonelmondo.it in order to receive updates on developments in the region, which will be communicated through these institutional channels.
Citizens who are not registered on the Ministry’s platforms will not be able to receive communications issued by the Crisis Unit, Embassies and Consulates containing updated flight information and security guidance.
