Tajani’s mission in China continues. Stopover in Shanghai for meetings with the Italian business community

The mission of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, continues in China. Following the inauguration in Beijing, together with the Chinese Minister of Culture Sun Yeli, of the Uffizi exhibition “A Tribute to the Great Masters, from Leonardo to Caravaggio”, featuring 36 works of the Italian Renaissance, Minister Tajani will travel on to Shanghai for a meeting between the Sistema Italia and the Italian business community in China.

More than 1,500 Italian companies operate in China, employing 130,000 people and generating a turnover of approximately EUR 33 billion. The meeting will provide an occasion to further refine the Government’s strategy in support of the Italian business community, particularly in addressing the complexities and barriers typical of a market such as China.

During the meeting, Minister Tajani will attend the signing of important agreements involving the Sistema Italia and Chinese counterparts, aimed at supporting Italian exports to China and fostering Italy–China projects in high-innovation sectors.

Among other engagements in Shanghai, the Minister will inaugurate the exhibition “Wonderful Italy”, organised on the occasion of the National Day of Italian Design and Made in Italy. This growth diplomacy initiative is designed to promote Italian know-how by highlighting elements such as industrial innovation and creativity.
