Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16, in the second leg of “Objective Export,” scheduled to take place at the Fiera del Levante in Bari and dedicated to companies in Southern Italy.

The event will be opened by Minister Tajani and will continue with sessions and panels dedicated to export support tools, the contribution of Southern Italy’s regions to the country’s international projection, and the role of startups, innovative SMEs, and large companies in the growth and internationalisation of technology supply chains. The “Growth Laboratory” will also take place in the afternoon, divided into two sessions dedicated respectively to innovation and startups and the promotion of regional excellence and cultural industries.

During the day, the Minister will also inaugurate the new SIMEST office in Bari, a hub for Apulian companies focused on internationalisation, fostering increasingly direct contact between institutions and the business world. With this opening, the number of SIMEST offices in Italy rises to eight: Rome, Milan, Turin, Mestre, Bologna, Naples, Bari, and Palermo.

The Bari Conference is expected to attract approximately 500 participants, and approximately 500 meetings have been organized between companies and representatives of the Italian System, including Heads of the trade offices of Italian embassies, Directors of the Italian Trade Agency’s offices, and experts from SACE, SIMEST, and CDP. The Bari event is the second one of “Objective Export”, following the one in Turin last April and preceding the next one in Rome, scheduled for this autumn.
