The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, present the programme for Italy’s participation as Guest of Honour at the 40th edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair, scheduled to take place from 28 November to 6 December.

Speakers include, amongst others, two writers from the Italian delegation, Olga Campofreda and Viola Ardone, who will offer a first glimpse of the packed literary and cultural programme that will characterise Italy’s participation at the Guadalajara Book Fair.

The Guadalajara International Book Fair is the leading event for the Spanish-language publishing market and one of the most significant international events in the sector, attracting over 800 authors, 2,800 publishing houses from more than 60 countries and nearly 1 million visitors every year. Italy’s return as Guest of Honour at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) is the result of a joint strategy between institutions and stakeholders in the cultural sector, who have succeeded over time in developing a stable and effective network of partnerships.

The Italian delegation comprises over 60 authors and around 35 exhibiting publishers, alongside a packed programme of exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, performances, and cultural, academic and gastronomic events that will involve the whole city of Guadalajara. The festival also features some of the leading artists on the Italian music scene
