Undersecretary Manlio Di Stefano had a video call with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Margulan Baimukhan. The conversation is part of a cycle of contacts that Undersecretary Di Stefano is holding with his counterparts. The purpose is to continue the bilateral dialogue with the Central Asian countries and to plan the post-COVID recovery19.
The Vice Minister, first, welcomed the improvement of the health situation in Italy, congratulating the management of the Covid-19 emergency. The Undersecretary thanked his counterpart for the Kazakh donation to the Italian Civil Protection.
Baimukhan then expressed satisfaction with the volume of the exchange between Italy and Kazakhstan, which reached 3 billion euros in 2019. The topics of the future bilateral appointments were then addressed, including the Italo-Kazakh Business Forum and the second edition of the Italy-Central Asia Conference; they represent relevant business opportunities for Italian companies and for the mutual support and friendship between the two countries in the international field.
