On Wednesday, 30 September 2020, at 1:30pm, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio will meet the US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the end of the meeting, a joint press point will be take place.
In view of the current legislation on social distancing, a limited number of press representatives will have access to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: only one journalist per newspaper/agency and one operator per TV station can apply for accreditation.
The first accreditations received in in chronological order and the cameramen will be admitted to the Press Point room.
Accredited press representatives who are not allowed access to the press room, can follow the press point from an adjacent Salle d’écoute.
Journalists, photographers and TV operators interested in covering the joint press point are kindly requested to apply for accreditation no later than 6:00pm on 30 September, sending an email to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it , (tel. 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573), attaching the required digital documentation (letter by the media organisation to which the reporter belongs and, in the case of representatives of foreign-based media organisations, also a Nota Verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of the relevant country).
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV operators may enter the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, back entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina, from 12:45am to 1:30pm, after checking body temperature and wearing a mask and other personal protective equipment recommended by current regulations.
