NOTA DI SERVIZIO PER I REDATTORI CAPO: Recall – Nota di accreditamento – Women in Diplomacy Board Meeting


The first meeting of the Women in Diplomacy Board will meet on Wednesday 13 November 2013 at Villa Madama. Participants will include Minister for Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino, Minister for Integration Cécile Kyenge, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Marta Dassù and the Italian government’s special envoy Staffan de Mistura.


The presentation of the Women for Expo is to follow, and will be open to camera and TV crews only to cover a brief introduction by Prime Minister Enrico Letta and speeches by foreign minister Emma Bonino, Commissioner for the 2015 Milan Expo Giuseppe Sala and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jody Williams.


Present at the event also will be the First Lady of the Republic of Mozambique Maria da Luz Dai Guebuza, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ghana Hanna Tetteh and former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mexico Patricia Espinosa.


The Women for Expo project, which will be administered over the next two years by the Italian Women in Diplomacy Committee along with EXPO 2015, aims to create an international network and establish solid links between the Expo themes of nutrition and eco-sustainability and that of women’s empowerment.

Accredited photographers and camera persons are asked to report to the rear entrance to the Ministry in via Macchia della Farnesinabetween the hours of 18:00 and 18:30.



Since Villa Madama is closed to private vehicles, a shuttle service will be running between the ministry and the villa as of 18:00.
