Environment: Farnesina, Green Embassies Forum set up in Rome (FOAV Roma)

The Forum of Green Embassies (FOAV Roma), a new working group of the foreign embassies in Rome interested in promoting the application of the highest environmental standards, was set up in Rome on the impetus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Embassy of France in Rome.

In the year of the United Nations “Paris Climate 2015” Conference (COP21), which in December will see all the countries in search of a global climate change accord, the MFAIC and the embassies in Rome have formed a working group that will meet periodically to discuss and share best practices, challenges and experiences.

Starting today, by means of Twitter (@FoavRoma) and Facebook (Foro Ambasciate verdi Roma), the Farnesina and the embassies of Rome will be able to maintain a more open and structured dialogue through which to exchange information and work methods for  launching new ecological initiatives aimed at transforming their diplomatic missions into increasingly eco-sustainable work places.
