The Italian Foreign Ministry expresses satisfaction over the departure for Italy of Mrs Cattafesta

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses great satisfaction and welcomes the news of the departure for Italy of Mrs Cristina Cattafesta, who was detained in Turkey last 24 June. The positive outcome of the case was made possible also thanks to the personal involvement of Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi – addressing the appeal launched by the Italian woman’s family – and to the incisive awareness-raising activity conducted locally by the Italian Embassy in Ankara in close cooperation with the Foreign Ministry. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expresses his gratitude to the Turkish Authorities for contributing to solving the case.
