Undersecretary Della Vedova attends the London Conference: “Opportunity Ukraine”

Today the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Benedetto Della Vedova, attended “Opportunity Ukraine”, a conference organised in London by the British Foreign Office and the Ukrainian Government. In his address, the Undersecretary underscored the importance of the reform process started by Kiev – in the business sector, the public administration to promote good governance, and in the fight against corruption – not only for the future of the Country but also in order to assure the enforcement of the Minsk Agreements. In this respect, Undersecretary Della Vedova reaffirmed Italy’s willingness to support any initiative aimed at facilitating Ukraine’s economic recovery and a political solution to the Donbass crisis. Italy, he said, is already focusing its assistance activities to Ukraine on fighting corruption, which is fundamental to creating a favourable business climate and attracting foreign investment.
