Della Vedova in Moldova. Talks on the Ukrainian crisis and regional security

Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova, is on a diplomatic mission to Chisinau today and tomorrow. Today, Undersecretary Della Vedova is scheduled to attend a concert with the presence of the Moldovan Government, organized by the Italian Embassy to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two Countries. Tomorrow, Wednesday, 23 February, Della Vedova will see the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Deputy Prime Minister, Nico Popescu, to discuss bilateral relations, the situation in Ukraine and the consequences for the region’s security. The meeting will offer the opportunity to reaffirm Italy’s support for the Country’s EU accession process. The next engagement on the Undersecretary’s agenda is the signing of the Italy-Moldova Agreement on the Recognition of Academic Qualifications with the Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topala. Lastly, Della Vedova will visit the Regional Headquarters of the Moldovan Carabineers, where he will attend the handover ceremony of breeding dams from the Italian dog handling units to the Moldavan units. During the mission, Della Vedova will have a number of meetings with Moldova’s business world and civil society.
