The new press accreditation portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is now online. Developed according to the highest IT and security standards, the new platform features a graphical interface that facilitates its use and makes accreditation procedures faster and more efficient.
Available in English and Italian, the new portal replaces the previous one.
The accreditation procedure entails:
For representatives of Italian media:
- An initial online Registration, at the end of which the user will receive an email confirming registration to their email address and will be able to access their Reserved Area within the portal.
- The upload, via the ‘My documents’ section of the Reserved Area, of a digital copy of the following documents:
- Passport photo;
- Valid identity document or passport;
- Letter from the media to which they belong.
For representatives of foreign media
- An initial online Registration, at the end of which the user will receive an email confirming registration at their email address and will be able to access their Reserved Area within the portal.
- The upload, via the ‘My Documents’ section of your Reserved Area, a digital copy of the following documents:
- Passport photo;
- Valid identity document or passport;
- Letter from the media to which they belong;
- Note Verbale of the Embassy of the country where the media is based.
For freelance:
- Italian freelance:
- Passport photo;
- Valid identity document or passport;
- Membership card of the Italian Order of Journalists.
- Foreign freelance:
- Passport photo;
- Valid identity document or passport;
- Letter of collaboration with a foreign media;
- Note Verbale of the Embassy of the country where the media is based.
The documents provided will be examined by the DGDP Office I of MAECI, which may confirm or reject the accreditation. The system will notify the applicant of the outcome of this verification by e-mail.
Only after receiving confirmation of the accreditation, the applicant will be able to:
- Register for press events/conferences organised by MAECI.
