BRAZIL- Sparkle expands coverage in Brazil with a new Point of Presence in Salvador
Sparkle announces expansion of coverage in Brazil with a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Salvador.
The Salvador PoP adds to Sparkle’s current ten Points of Presence in the country, distributed between Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro and Fortaleza, further strengthening the performance of Sparkle Seabone’s global IP transit service with a reduction in latency and an improvement in traffic routing capacity in Brazil and throughout the American continent.
Local and international network operators, as well as Internet service providers, content and application providers, will benefit from high speed Internet connectivity. They will also benefit from a full range of IP solutions, including DDos Mitigation services, which offer Seabone customers the ability to protect their network from attack, and Virtual Net, which provides virtual access to major Internet exchange points.
In the coming months Sparkle will also open a PoP in Porto Alegre, in the south-eastern region of the country, to further expand its network footprint in Brazil and consolidate its position as one of the leading providers in the Americas and the first Tier-1 global network in Latin America.
