The Italian Cultural Institute of Valletta presents a preview of Gli Imperi della Mente (The Empires of the Mind), directed and interpreted by Elio Crifò. The show, in the form of recited reading, will be held in live streaming exclusively for the public of the Institute Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 18:30 hours.
“Knowing how to think is much more difficult than you think. And the more you are convinced that you think well, the more… you think badly. Knowing how to think is a revolutionary art against every power, both religious and monarchical, both mafia and democratic…”.
Elio Crifò gives life to an unusual psychoanalytic session. A collective analysis, the psychoanalysis of our age. It begins a descent to the roots of the malaise of contemporary man. It seeks alternatives to the darkness of the soul and reason in which we are immersed. It looks for precise answers that will arrive ironic and wise, analysing the need for God in man and the drama of his material non-existence. The show is a succession of reasoning, jokes, polemics, philosophical reflections, quotations, choreographies that give a “pulp” rhythm, entertain and excite the viewer.
Elio Crifò is an author, director, and actor. Esotericarte, a fascinating journey between esotericism, symbolism, and numerology, is his most recent work, staged with great success and which has seen the extraordinary participation of the mathematician Piergiorgio Odifreddi and the art critic Vittorio Sgarbi.
