Farnesina: we expect maximum cooperation from WFP

With reference to today’s press release by Rome’s Public Prosecutor’s Office notifying that it has concluded the preliminary investigation of the murder of Ambassador Luca Attanasio and Carabiniere Vittorio Iacovacci and that, in compliance with Articles 113, 40 and 589 of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure, it has collected elements liable to bring charges against the two World Food Programme (WFP) officials responsible for organizing the mission in North Kivu on 22 February 2021, the Farnesina hopes for maximum cooperation from the WFP with the Italian Judiciary in order to clarify every aspect of the tragic events of 22 February 2021 and bring the offenders to justice.
