On 23 March, for the 6th edition of the Italian Design Day, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, together with CAMIC (the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry) will present “COMMON GLASS”, a project dedicated to the new language of contemporary glass, which gathers the most interesting realities of the sector, both in Italy and in the Czech Republic.
The topic will be discussed during a round table to be attended by Lucia Massari and Lukáš Novák, who will tell us about their experiences as emerging designers who have already significantly impacted the sector with their innovative aesthetic and experimental approach. Other participants include Stephan Hammel, who contributed to the launch of many enterprises of the trade, and Bohemian crystal manufacturers Rückl, founded in 1903: with their history, spanning over a century, they will explain the reasons underlying their attempt to interpret a glorious past in a modern way. The debate will be moderated by Annalisa Russo, co-founder of Mr.Lawrence studio. The meeting will be held in the baroque chapel of the Italian Cultural Institute.
