Press accreditation note – “Ripartiamo in Sicurezza” event of the Farnesina Crisis Unit (11 July 2022)

On Monday 11 June 2022 the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, will open the event “Ripartiamo in sicurezza”, to be held at the Farnesina, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

The new version of the “Viaggiare Sicuri” website will be launched for the occasion, as well as the inclusion of the Crisis Unit services in the App “Io”, which will give millions of citizens easier access to the portals for the protection of Italians abroad.

The presentation will be moderated by Sky TG24 journalist Mariangela Pira. In addition to Minister Di Maio’s opening speech, remarks will also be made by the Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ettore Francesco Sequi, the Councillor for the Digital Economy and Technological Innovation of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and former Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitalisation, Paola Pisano, and the Head of the Crisis Unit of the Farnesina, Nicola Minasi.

The event will also launch the Farnesina Crisis Unit’s institutional communication campaign, dedicated to the services www.viaggiaresicuri.it and www.dovesiamonelmondo.it. The importance of conscious travelling will be further stressed by Alberto Angela, with a short clip, filmed free of charge, to be previewed during the event and subsequently broadcast on RAI channels and on the Ministry’s web and social accounts.

The event will be streamed live on the YouTube page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation: Farnesina – YouTube.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews may attend the event, in person too, by applying for accreditation by 4:00 pm of Friday, 8 July. The application should be sent via email to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it  (Tel: +39 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573), attaching an ID, a letter of their news media organisation and, for members of the foreign press, also a Note Verbale issued by the Rome Embassy of the news media organisation’s Country.

Accredited press staff may access the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the main entrance, left side, from 8.00 am to 8.45 am of 11 July, wearing a face mask.
