On 25 August, a jazz concert by saxophonist Simone Garino at the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo will close the events of “Artisti in Residenza”, funded by SIAE (Italian Association of Authors and Publishers), under the sponsorship of the Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies and Consulates and supported by Europe Jazz Network.
The project is also supported by MIDJ (Musicisti Italiani di Jazz), the first and largest Italian association representing jazz music and musicians in Italy. In his closing concert, Garino will perform alongside producer and musician Mario Conte and Norwegian jazz pianist Jon Balke. Simone Garino and Mario Conte are also the founders of the MIZOOKSTRA project, which blends free jazz and electronic music.
