18th May 2020 the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi di Maio, participated in a meeting with European partners on tourist traffic within the European Union. “We need to put our Country back on track and guarantee Italians’ safety. To do this, it is fundamental that Italy has the possibility, this summer, to welcome tourists coming from other EU countries as well. We are already working on a safe and concrete tourist plan, together with Mibact to support companies, hoteliers, restaurateurs, tour operators and all the sector. It is our economy, our Italy, our pride”, the Ministry declared at the end of the meeting.
