Berlin: Gala evening at the Italian Embassy to promote the “Bottega Veneta” fashion house

The Italian Embassy in Berlin hosted a gala evening in collaboration with Italian fashion house “Bottega Veneta” to mark the opening of its second shop in Berlin. The event was attended by a select audience of personalities from Germany’s entertainment, business, society and media communities. Bottega Veneta was represented by its Chairman and Managing Director, Marco Bizzarri. The fashion houses’ links with Germany are strengthened by the fact that its creative director, Tomas Maier, is German.

The success of the event confirms the German public’s strong interest in Italian luxury and fashion goods. A recent study by the ICE Office in Berlin found that sales of Italian fashion goods in Germany amounted to 1.6 billion euros in 2007, with growth potential remaining high. Read more, in Italian.
