Italy-Georgia: Exports to Tbilisi double

The boom in trade seen in 2011 has continued into 2012, marking a golden era in Italian-Georgian relations. This is the picture that emerges from the latest figures published by ISTAT: trade nearing 138 million euros in the first half of 2012, an increase of 53.7% on the same period of 2011. The rise has been driven by Italian exports, which from January to June 2012 totalled 103.3 million euros, practically double the figure for the first half of 2011. Read more, in Italian.
