The exhibition entitled “Renaissance Splendour: Sumptuous court dress” has opened in Strasbourg. The show reproduces fabrics, clothing and events from the court of the Gonzagas and other Renaissance courts in Europe, starting from their depiction in the most famous paintings of the age. The exhibition, which has already visited major cities in Europe and the Americas, will be hosted in Strasbourg in the Palais du Rhin, seat of Alsace’s Directorate for Cultural Affairs.
