A Country Presentation on Vietnam will be held in Florence on 22 April 2013 during an international handicrafts trade fair where the Asian country will be guest of honour. The initiative is intended to give the Vietnamese authorities a platform to present the country’s development projects and opportunities for economic and industrial collaboration directly.
The presentation will be divided into two sections. The first, focusing on institutional initiatives, will see the participation of the Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, Lorenzo Angeloni. And the second, more technical session, will see presentations by Italian and Vietnamese representatives of the agri-food, interior design/furniture, automation, tanning/leather goods, and textiles/clothing/shoes sectors. The Director of the ICE-Italian Trade Promotion Agency in Ho Chi Minh City, Bruna Santarelli, will also be taking part.
The initiative is part of the promotional activities organised under the agreement between ICE, the Ministry for Economic Development and Tuscany Region.
Support from the Italian Embassy
The Foreign Ministry and its diplomatic network play a vital role in supporting our companies abroad.
The Italian Embassy in Hanoi is very active in this area, with numerous initiatives to promote Italian culture, products, food and drink, design and entrepreneurship. The latest initiative is “Y-VIET 2013: The Year of Italy in Vietnam”, a rich programme of events to celebrate the 40th anniversary (on 23 March 2013) of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
