Information-processing to establish priorities for intervention
“In situations of political and economic fragility, with inadequate or unstable infrastructure, there is also a need for more effective intervention following human or natural disasters. To manage crises and emergencies in less developed regions, enormous quantities of information need to be processed to establish the priorities for intervention, allocate personnel on the basis of their expertise and rationalise resources according to needs”.
