The Embassy of Italy in Bucharest hailed the institution of a joint Romanian Upper and Lower House Commission to support that country’s accession to the Schengen area. President of the Commission, Senator Mircea Geoana, underscored, in particular, expectations that the legislative and executive wings send a unified message regarding the possibility of reaching a decision with the year.
