Under-Secretary Giro: Italian language always in demand
As Under-Secretary Mario Giro stated in an interview on 14 October for Il Sole 24 Ore, “this is an opportunity to reflect on the value of our language as appoint of access to Italian culture, and as a generator of friendship, bonds and multiple interests in our country”. Indeed, the demand for Italian “has remained constant even throughout the crisis and is in expansion in many areas of the emerging world”, bearing witness to Italy’s reputation in the fields of culture, science and art, as well as our international appeal in business and economic spheres.
