“Destinazione Italia” arrives in Turkey with a presentation organised by the Italian Embassy in Ankara with the collaboration of Invitalia and Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK). The event, taking place on 16 April 2014 in Istanbul, will present the Italian government’s programme plus investment opportunities worth over 100 million euros.
Investment opportunities in Italy
Tourism, transport, energy, information technology and real estate are just some of the sectors offering investment potential. Italy is one of Turkey’s leading commercial partners, with trade amounting to around 19.6 billion dollars in 2013 and about 1,100 Italian companies operating in the country. “Attracting investment is an Italian government priority”, explained our Ambassador, Gianpaolo Scarante, in an interview with the Turkish newspaper, Dünya.
“We expect the Istanbul event to attract great interest” continued Ambassador Scarante, “with the participation – thanks not least to the valuable support provided by DEİK – of about 100 Turkish investors. We’ll be illustrating 60 or so investment opportunities.
Our ultimate goal is to offer Turkish enterprises concrete investment opportunities in Italy and create fertile terrain to develop and strength bilateral ties between our two countries”.
