The growth of populism is the natural outcome of 10 years of political choices that have allocated unwarranted blame to Brussels, said Minister Mogherini. The Italian Presidency of the European Union could ensure a rapid transition in the “government” of Europe (a new Commission) without needing to wait for months to pass.
