Albania – Conference on a future in Europe

Relations between Italy and Albania will grow even closer thanks to a conference that opens on Monday afternoon in Tirana. The two-day “Albania and Italy: a Partnership for Europe” comes a few months after the granting of EU candidate status to the country. Its is to reflect on Albania’s future, starting with the role played by Italy in the process of its European integration, placing this bilateral perspective within the broader strategic framework of EU enlargement to the entire Western Balkans and of regional cooperation in this area.
