The Embassy of Italy in Brussels hosted the ceremony for the “Blumm Prize Future Frames: comparing identities” award, the winner of which was French artist Laetitia Vancon. The artist’s work, entitled “My Home, My Prison” focuses on the ancient practice of family feuds in a northern Albania governed by the “Kanun”, a legal code that sanctions vengeance killings: The only way to avoid the vendetta is to stay in one’s home, a place considered inviolable.
