The Dutch finance minister, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, has announced that the government is proceeding with the privatisation of two major banks still in state hands: ABN Amro and SNS Reaal. The pre-selection process to identify the institutes that will act as global coordinator, bookrunner e co-lead manager has now started. One condition for the operation is to find a suitable offer. As regards SNS Reaal, the sale of its insurance line (Vivat, formerly Reaal NV) to the Chinese Anbang group, for 150 million euros, has been announced. The proceeds will be used for recapitalisation.
