DEI – Turkey: Intesa Sanpaolo opens corporate branch in Istanbul

Intesa Sanpaolo has opened a new corporate branch in Istanbul, giving the group a bigger presence in Turkey. The branch will have a staff of 30, initial assets of one billion, and will answer to the “hub branch” in Dubai, one of the four worldwide along with New York, London and Hong Kong.

Part of the Corporate & Investment Banking Division, the new branch will operate as a “full branch” in close synergy with the group’s international network and Italian structures. Its priority aim is to support Italian businesses seeking to penetrate the Turkish market and help local enterprises interested in the Italian market and in investing in our country. The Istanbul branch will also cooperate closely with Banca IMI – the group’s investment bank – to offer structured finance, Project and Acquisition Financing, M&A Advisory and Capital Markets products. It will also provide help and services for cross-border and Financial Risk Management services.
