All eyes were on Italy and its regional treasures at an evening organised by the Italian Consul in Melbourne, Marco Maria Cerbo, to introduce “EXPO and the Territories”. The Consul described the initiative to an audience of around 50 tour operators and journalists, and underscored the importance of EXPO Milan 2015 as a global event. The EXPO and the Territories project offers tourists an opportunity to create their own itineraries not just at the recently opened EXPO itself but also to explore Italy’s regions.
