A 1.5 million euro Italian Cooperation contribution for interventions by the UN Humanitarian Depot in Brindisi

The Italian Development Cooperation approved a 1.5 million euro contribution for the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) for interventions in response to natural disasters or conflicts.

The Italian contribution will help make it possible to ensure coverage of transport costs for assistance operations and supply services for the warehousing of humanitarian goods to be delivered to crisis areas.

The Brindisi Base is a strategic component in the Italian Cooperation’s humanitarian efforts and an essential instrument for ensuring rapid intervention.
