Helsinki – Italian start-ups at Slush, a global showcase for innovation

Italian innovation will be showcased in Helsinki, where 20 of our start-ups and accelerators will be taking part in “Slush”, a two-day event featuring big global names from the ICT and digital worlds. This is the first time Italy has taken part, with a pavilion supported by the Italian Embassy in Finland and by a group of Italians active in the start-up field in Helsinki. The pavilion is fitted out with iconic pieces of Italian design, thanks to sponsors Kartell, iGuzzini, Piaggio and Meritalia.

Ambassador Giorgio Visetti received the organisers and participants at the residence. “Italy has a strong interest in identifying and pursuing new opportunities for collaboration with Finland, a virtuous country in promoting innovation as a lever for social and economic development”, underscored Minister for Foreign Affairs Paolo Gentiloni in a message. “The goal is to foster the development of synergies between ideas generated in the extraordinary ‘incubators’ represented by modern start-ups and the excellence achieved in Italian and Finnish production”, concluded Minister Gentiloni.
