“La polveriera”, a novel by Stefano Petrocchi, will be presented in Albania on Wednesday 13 January 2016 at the library of the University of Scutari and on 14 January at the Foreign Languages Department of the University of Tirana. The event is promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Tirana in collaboration with the Italian Studies Departments at the University of Tirana and the University of Scutari, and the Honorary Consulate in Scutari.
The novel tells the story of the Premio Strega literary award, founded in 1947 by Maria Bellonci and Guido Alberti, and the intrigues and disagreements surrounding it. Alberti was the owner of the distillery which produced the Strega liqueur, from which the award takes its name. Read more, in Italian.
