Madrid will celebrate the art of luthiers and bow makers from January 26 until January 28. The Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, in cooperation with Academia Cremonensis of Cremona and Fundacion de Ferrocarriles Espanoles, has organised a series of workshops and seminars, which will be held by the masters of the Academia Cremonensis. It will be three days completely devoted to music. The programme will also feature a concert by the Ensemble Concuerda comprising a double bass and a guitar, plus two violins and a cello from the Academia Cremonensis. Seminars, violin and bow workshops, acoustic trials, measuring techniques and talks about the Academia Cremonensis string quartet will animate will be featured on the event’s agenda. On the last day, there will be a presentation of Maestro Giovanni Lucchi’s special gold-mounted quartet, organised by Fondazione Lucchi.
