Cologne – Architecture and art, German students describe the “Piazzas of Palermo”

Students of the Architecture Department of the Cologne Polytechnic enrolled in the master’s course  entitled “Design and Construction Strategies” have analysed five ‘Piazzas’ in Palermo with the aim of understanding their functionality, social impact, potentials and problems. The results will be displayed in the exhibition entitled “The Piazzas of Palermo”, which will be open on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Italian Institute of Culture in Cologne. The exhibition, which will run until March 7, will display models, designs, drawings and photographs illustrating the fascinating architecture of the Sicilian capital.
