The 62nd episode of “Diplomazia e dintorni” (“Diplomacy and the Like”) is devoted to the “Farnesina Collection”, the contemporary art collection hosted at the Foreign Ministry that includes the work of the Italian masters of contemporary art. The programme will be aired at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 24 May on Radio LUISS.
Enrico Vattani, head of the Ministry’s office that manages the Collection, and Nicola Locatelli, a senior officer in the cultural promotion department, will describe how this important collection, which now represents a point of reference for Italian contemporary art, was created and developed.
The Farnesina Collection is also a unique way of promoting Italian artists abroad, through numerous exhibitions organised in as many Italian Embassies and museums. Our guests will explain how and why these initiatives have proved to be particularly effective and appreciated in the places where they were held.
